The Borough has an eight-member full time police department dispatched by Union County Communications Center and with available 911 service. The Milton Borough Police Department is located at 1 Filbert St, Milton, PA 17847 in the former Pennsylvania Railroad Passenger Station. The non-emergency number is 570-742-8757.

Mission

We, the members of the Milton Police Department, believe in the shared responsibility of police personnel, government leaders and citizens to improve Milton’s quality of life and to defend our community. We vow to uphold the U.S. Constitution, to fairly enforce the laws of Pennsylvania and Milton Borough ordinances in order to protect life, property and rights. In partnership with the community, we will engage in policing to maintain order, reduce crime and the fear of crime through education, prevention and enforcement.

Fingerprinting is no longer provided by the Milton Police Department except under magisterial order.

Employment Opportunities

Applications are being accepted for the creation of an Eligibility list with the Milton Police Department. This list will be utilized to fill full time vacancies.

Completed applications must be returned to Milton Borough Police Department. A testing date will be scheduled, and all testing will be completed on the same day.
